Many Filipinos today endure the sadness and affliction of works abroad just to satisfy the needs of their family. As we all know that companies overseas pay their employees better than our local anaesthetic companies here in the country that is why parents who work abroad usually see their children once every year or if theyre in reality lucky, once every month. My dad has been working abroad ever since I was five years old. I still remember when I hugged my fathers legs in the first place his flight so that he wont cast off; I cried a lot while hugged and begged him not to go, he just whispered I cacoethes you in my ears and then left. When we got headquarters I wore his used shirts and cried to my sleep. I continuously did that until I was ten or maybe 11 years old. My siblings and I cried a lot back then, but now were used to our dad leaving. For me thats one of the most afflictive things thatll hurt my dad the most, the fact that were used to it. thither was one time that I made he really upset and it broke my heart seeing his response to what I did. I asked him before when will he go home; I completely forgot that he was home, with us, with his family. He replied anak, hindi pa ba ako nakauwi? I paused for a while and thought of what I said. I saw my dads weeping manifestation while he said those words to me.



I now said sorry to my dad after feeling his loneliness. I cant help but feel guilt feelings whenever I remember that my dads alone and Im here eating more than thrice a day, sleeping in a comfortable bed, entertained with the gadgets he bought for me and studying in a prestigious school.
